  • Born in 1985 in Milan, he is composer, arranger, guitarist and promoter.

    He begins studying guitar as self-taught, then knows Maestro Maurizio Colonna and becomes his pupil.

    In 1999 founds a band called “Extend”, in which he is guitarist and author until 2004, and a little music service (sound/lights), with the same name, in which he partakes as technician and promoter. In 2003 begins his studies in Harmony and Theory with Stefano Solani, and in the academic year 2004/2005 he teaches guitar in the Civic School of Music in Solaro

    In the October of 2005 moves to Rome under advice of Maestro Ennio Morricone, to whom he gave a cd with his early compositions. Morricone suggests him to keep on studying Composition and addresses him to Maestro Francesco Telli in Rome.

    De Rosa studies with him for a year. Then in 2006 knows Maestro Boris Porena, one of the main composers and thinkers of the XX century in Italy, with whom is still continuing his studies. Moreover, at the beginning of 2006 he starts a collaboration with Jon Anderson, historical voice of the band Yes. Together they assemble a symphonic – theatral poem, “The Alchemist” (based on the novel by Coelho) and write some songs, one of which (called “Music is...”) is edited with Warner and becomes the soundtrack of Anderson’s 2009 Summer Tour across Europe and North America.

  • In the meantime De Rosa also organizes several concerts:

    - M.Colonna and F.Gambale at “Jazz on the Coast” in Minori (Amalfi Coast) in Summer 2005; P.Fresu and A.Salis at the same festival, with which he has several other collaborations.

    - E.Morricone “Musiche per il cinema” (for Orchestra and Choir, about 200 musicians) on the 16th of December 2006 in Piazza del Duomo, Milan.

    - J.Anderson, the italian dates of “Have guitar will travel – European Summer Tour 2009” in Sorrento and Rome (“Villa Ada festival”).

    In 2007 founds with Fernando Sanchez Amillategui the so called “Gruppo di lavoro Rigobaldo”, which deals about the conservancy and diffusion of the musical and intellectual works of Boris Porena.

    Between the end of 2007 and the beginning of 2008 edits more then 50 songs with Rai Trade, meant to become soundtracks for RAI’s documentaries (RAI is the italian public broadcasting company). In March 2008 invents a format for a TV programme about Boris Porena, and with the help of Andrea Bevilacqua and Federico Bartulli realizes a promo video. The programme waits to be producted.

    Since 2007 starts working at RAI. Now he works with Maeastro Pippo Caruso and his Orchestra in RAI’s TV show called “Domenica In”, dealing with recording and mixing of the musical bases broadcasted in the programme.
